Week Seven of holding myself accountable.

Week Seven.

She has been a funny old week, team. Full of ups and downs, highs and lows.

HIGHS: Booked a European trip for October - seeing family and my first ever trip to Italy which I am super excited about. Booked tickets home for Christmas (also super excited about!!). Did a photoshoot. Saw some friends. Went to two shows. Made a huge change in my screen time/habits. Put up two songs on my socials. Worked out consistently.

LOWS: Just been one of those weeks where I've been a grumpy, angry bitch. Not sure why... perhaps just the perils and pressures of an artist's lifestyle in this economy with a underperforming NZ dollar against a strong british pound and the fact that I look different on camera than I did in my 20s. Hey look at that - I do know why.

Anyway, as you can see the good far outweighs the bad this week so that is going to be my focus and I'm going to use this week's summary to put forward a goal for Week 8. Do not be a grumpy bitch. Look on the brightside and when you feel yourself being a sorry-for-yourself ass, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

This week was a week of quiet action with a bit of brutal introspection thrown in.

Week 8 will be action. Positivity. Drive, Creativity and Inspiration.

That's my theme.

Stay Tuned.

Okay, so a few weeks ago after a few drinks, Mel my flatmate and I traveled up the hill to Angel Central and met a very nice man who was promoting photoshoots. We did it this week. Varying results... Here's one of them. Not sure how I feel...

Reading Deprivation

No TV binging, no reading and limited time on socials - that was the Artist's Way challenge to me this week and it was a game changer.TV binging is a habit I've been working on for a while - multitasking while watching absolute rubbish (or sometimes not rubbish). Eating meals without TV distractions was a bit lonely but as the week went on I felt the creative part of my brain start to wake up a bit more. This is something I'm going to take with me into Week 8 and beyond I think. Good for the soul!
